Environmental Engagement
The Truffles Group continually looks for innovative ways to improve waste management solutions, reduce carbon emissions, assist regional food security and enhance company-wide sustainable purchasing practices.
Highlights:
Vancouver Island Green Business Certification - All business are audited annually (12 green, 1 gold)
Surfrider accreditation - 11 businesses are Surfrider approved for their commitment to reducing use of plastics and protecting our oceans
Community Engagement
Our group places high value in connecting with and supporting our local community to help build a vibrant Vancouver Island.
Highlights:
Monthly community program - Cascadia raises funds from ice sales, masterclasses, supplier partnerships and empty returns, Canoe selects a featured menu item and contributes a portion of sales, Victoria Butterfly Gardens donates proceeds from their wishing well
Staff Engagement
The Truffles Group believes that the best way to lead responsibly is to engage and empower our teams to get involved with their community, industry and environment.
Highlights:
Complimentary entry into the Victoria Marathon, TC10K, Tour de Victoria and other similar events in our community
Donation matching to an approved charitable organization
2 paid work days per year to volunteer with a local community organization
Industry Engagement
Collaborating with our partners to reducing the overall impact of our industry through sustainable purchasing, supplier education and charitable engagement.

Sustainable purchasing – The Truffles Group follows a sustainable purchasing handbook that helps us make smart choices when working with suppliers to reduce our global impact.
Charitable engagement – When negotiating with new vendors, we integrate donation matching as part of new agreements wherever possible.
